About Christine
Christine trained as a Reiki Master with Ben Verheijden, a Dutch Reiki Master, who used to be Chair of the Reiki Alliance. Ben trained with Inger Droog who brought Reiki to Holland, and Phyllis Lei Furomoto, the present lineage bearer.
Christine is an experienced counsellor, Reiki practitioner, funeral celebrant and Buteyko teacher. She took Reiki I and II in 1992 with Loretta Venus and was initiated as a Master by Ben in the village of Mirmande, France in May 1996. Originally from Manchester, work at the BBC brought her to Bristol in January 1990. She writes:
“I use Reiki in all aspects of my everyday living. The clarity I bring to my Reiki practice comes from my own exploration and dance with this healing energy. I have an infectious sense of humour and encourage others to find and celebrate their own gifts and abilities. I believe Reiki can improve everyone’s quality of life and empower them to find balance and happiness in living.
Reiki draws me to myself and I find balance, stillness, clarity and wholeness.
Reiki is an experience that unfolds by receiving it.”
Christine is a member of The Reiki Alliance, the Buteyko Breathing Association and the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists. She is available to give talks to interested groups.
